WHAT IS INCREMENTAL BIDDING?

Taking the time to understand the specifics of the bidding process can help you become a more savvy bidder, reduce some of the mystery and save you money. Incremental bidding means that we will lower your maximum bid to the next lowest bidding increment.

Example

We set our bid increments at $2 with a 1 cent starting bid

Bidder 1 makes a bid of $40 and is the only bidder so the price on the items goes to $2.00

Bidder 2 makes a bid of $10 so the price of the item goes to $10 but Bidder 1 remains the high bidder and will remain so until his/her bid of $40 is surpassed.

Bidder 3 makes a bid of $30 – item price goes to $30 and Bidder 1 is still the high bidder

Bidder 4 bids $60 and becomes the high bidder and the item price goes to $42.00 ( Bidder 4 will remain the high bidder until his/her maximum bid of $60 is surpassed).

What products are taxed?
All non-bullion sales in Canada are taxable at the provincial tax rate. (Bullion is defined as .999 pure silver and gold only) all other items are considered as commodities and are taxable in Canada. No tax to addresses shipped outside Canada.

How are auction disputes handled?

All lots shall be sold to the highest bidder as determined by the auctioneer. If any dispute arises during the sale, ECC has the right to withdraw the item from the sale. ECC’s decision will be final. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU REQUIRE FURTHER EXPLANATION.

In rare cases, there may be a mistake in an item listing, in such cases ECC reserves the right to cancel said sale.

What are ECC’s grading standards?
ECC has taken every reasonable measure to ensure that all the lots are as described in our auctions. Many of the lots are third party graded by PCGS, PMG, ICCS – We feel these are the most recognized grading companies in the industry.
What is ECC’s return policy?
Returns will be accepted by bidders for lots that have been misattributed or incorrectly catalogued. We guarantee that all items are genuine and we will refund anything that has been misrepresented by the cataloguers. Certified grading concerns are to be dealt with through the certified grading company, not ECC. No returns will be accepted on graded material. All local pick-up sales are final. Absolutely no returns will be accepted after 5 days of receipt as consignors are then paid in full.
