Taking the time to understand the specifics of the bidding process can help you become a more savvy bidder, reduce some of the mystery and save you money. Incremental bidding means that we will lower your maximum bid to the next lowest bidding increment.
Example
We set our bid increments at $2 with a 1 cent starting bid
Bidder 1 makes a bid of $40 and is the only bidder so the price on the items goes to $2.00
Bidder 2 makes a bid of $10 so the price of the item goes to $10 but Bidder 1 remains the high bidder and will remain so until his/her bid of $40 is surpassed.
Bidder 3 makes a bid of $30 – item price goes to $30 and Bidder 1 is still the high bidder
Bidder 4 bids $60 and becomes the high bidder and the item price goes to $42.00 ( Bidder 4 will remain the high bidder until his/her maximum bid of $60 is surpassed).
All lots shall be sold to the highest bidder as determined by the auctioneer. If any dispute arises during the sale, ECC has the right to withdraw the item from the sale. ECC’s decision will be final. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU REQUIRE FURTHER EXPLANATION.
In rare cases, there may be a mistake in an item listing, in such cases ECC reserves the right to cancel said sale.
